Due to some user feedback, autorip updated:
Changed minimum length settings
fixed issues with encoding TV series
updated metadata engine
poll only for cd/dvd/bd drives available
V 2.1.4
Added drop down box to change minimum file lenght ripped from disc – useful if you are ripping TV DVD’s and not just movies.
Note: set it to 3600 for movies as default.
I made some small changes for Autorip :
Allowed ability to manually select locations for makemkv and HB
it seems a few users had issues with teh default locations.
Autorip has been updated:
Iam working on a few things right now , but would welcome suggestions for anything users may need – the next step is to get some linux bash scripts uploaded and then move on to Mac versions of the UI.
So, suggestions for anything Linux, Mac, makeMKV or even FFMPEG much welcome and it they make sense will be added to the to-do list.
Current open to do for Windows:
1. HB batch UI – add ability to embed SRT subs, add multiple query saves, provide more feedback in terms of mins and secs on the running encodes, add additional metadata.
2. A no brainer Iphone/Ipad batch encoder – for the noobs out there , a stripped down version of HB UI , just start and forget, no settings available.
3. better support for Video_TS in WatchFolder
I have been asked a few times to release something like this so here it is…
makeMKV_all is a script with a small UI that will allow you to point it to a root folder containing ISO’s and Video_TS rips.
It will process each rip you have, and create all files on that disc as MKV files – lossless, and with all subtitles and audio tracks.
it creates a folder based on the movie name , in that you will find a MKV file for each piece of footage on the rip . The main movie will be called movietitle.mkv, all others will be movietitle_title01.mkv etc.
You can either use the files for direct playback or batch encode them with my handbrake Ui.
To use:
You must have makemkv installed – www.makemkv.com – this product is currently free while in beta, but you need to register with a key from the makemkv forums.
Download my script and save it into the makemkv program directory
Run it and choose your source and destination folders – you can also set it to delete source files , or select which files to make as mkvs by setting min length box.
Freeware as usual, coffee donations gratefully received..:)
I have just uploaded a new script : Autorip
What it does:
run it, it sits in your system tray and watches your DVD drive.
Once a DVD or Br has been inserted , it rips it , ejects disc then encodes it to your Handbrake preset, then gets cover art from amazon and adds itunes ready metadata.
CD’s are ignored and not ripped.
Needs:
makemkv installed for ripping – makemkv.com
handbrake installed
Does not need anydvd etc.
Setting up:
First time you run it it will ask you to set settings: HB profile, drive to watch, encoded files path.
You can also set it to grab the title from the volume label, or from a small pop up dialog.
If you need to change settings, right click icon and pick settings…
This is a BETA and I would really really appreciate feedback, good or bad or change requests.
Known issues on this version: it creates a temporary mkv file, does not delete it – you can manually delete this , its for debugging. Rips and converts main title only. Metadata limited to movie title, and cover art. These things will all change pending feedback.

Just uploaded a new script – this is a windows executable script to fully automate the process of encoding All titles from a disc.
It’s for anyone who wants to encode all titles on a DVD rip. Useful for anyone who has DVD’s ripped into Video_TS folder structure. For those of you who want to automatically encode all titles on say a TV series DVD rip, or all items on a Movie DVD (e.g. main movie, plus extras etc)
This uses makemkv to split the rip into titles as a temporary measure. The uses HandBrake to encode each title.
You end up with a folder of encoded content for each disc called: moviename_title01.m4v , moviename_title02.m4v etc.
